Yvonne Ellis

Mooreville - Yvonne Ellis, 65, died on Thursday, October 8, 2026. She was born on Monday, February 8, 1961, to the late Syble and Emory Ward Aldridge, Jr. in Okolona.

Yvonne found comfort and joy in the simple routines of everyday life, whether it was sharing a cup of coffee, spending time in church, or attending her Bible study. She shared more than 20 years of marriage with her late husband, James, until his passing. She was a woman of great faith who loved the Lord and attended New Beginning Baptist Church.

Yvonne is survived by her children, Mandy House, Nicole West, and Thomas; grandchild, Kaylyn West; great-grandchildren, Lisha Vandyke and Colson Vandyke; sisters, Wanda Poteet and Julie Lansdell (Kevin); nephews, Geoff Grimes (Brenda), Michael Grimes, and Haden Lansdell; and niece, Crystal Gibson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ellis; parents, Syble and Emory Ward Aldridge, Jr.; and brother, Jack Aldridge.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Pegues, Tupelo.

The funeral service honoring Yvonne’s life will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2026, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues Funeral Directors with Bro. Terry Hardin officiating. Burial will follow at Andrews Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Danny Hardin, Chris Ellis, Cade Jones, Trey Grimes, David Bryant, and Geoff Grimes.

Honorary pallbearers will be Haden Lansdell and Kevin Lansdell.
