Virginia R. Jaggers

Pontotoc – Virginia R. Jaggers, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, peacefully joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 90 on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Pontotoc Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born on Tuesday, November 12, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Ivy Hilton Rackley and Cordelia Wages Rackley.

Virginia was a deeply loving and caring woman whose kindness touched everyone who knew her. She treasured the time she spent with her family, and her presence will be profoundly missed.

She is survived by her son, Jerome Jaggers; two grandchildren, Gil Jaggers (Samantha), and Jordan Jaggers (Marianne); six great-grandchildren, Ellis Jaggers, Wallis Jaggers, Millie Jaggers, George Jaggers, Hank Jaggers, and Virginia Jaggers; three siblings, Shirley Ware (Burton), Glenson Rackley (Carolyn), and Kenneth Rackley (Patsy); and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 plus years; one son, Phillip Jaggers; and three siblings, Pete Rackley (Dot), Ferrell Rackley (Linda), and Patsy Russell (Surgan).

There will be private family services at a later date in Georgia. Pegues Funeral Directors have been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Virginia’s arrangements.
