Tammy McCray
Fulton- Tammy Sue White McCray, 58, passed away on April 21, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after an extended illness. She was born August 11, 1966, in Amory, Mississippi, to Robert White and Pauline Starling White. A graduate of Itawamba Agricultural High School, Tammy was a devoted and loving mother who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She was a talented seamstress who lovingly crafted blankets for family and friends, and she enjoyed walking and spending time outdoors. When her health permitted, she was a faithful attendee of Richmond Pentecostal Church. Tammy’s warmth, strength, and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Tammy leaves behind her two children, Andy McCray, and Stephanie Baughman and her husband, Freddie, of Plantersville; two grandchildren, Anthony McCray, and Braxton McCray; four siblings, Kenneth White, Wayne White (Beverly), Rhonda Ritter (Tim), and Johnny White; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Jerry White.
Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Pegues, Tupelo.
Services honoring Tammy’s life will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues with Rev. Ricky Piece officiating. Graveside services will follow at Liberty Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Justin White, Shane White, Danny Hardin, Scottie Hollands, Kevin McCray, and David Payne. Anthony and Braxton McCray will serve as honorary pallbearers.
