Hatley—Susan Pound Williamson passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Amory. She was 77 years old. Born January 1, 1949 in Pontotoc, Susan was the daughter of Arlis and Evoile Wilson Pound. She attended Mississippi State University where she earned a degree in human resources. For many years Susan worked as a supervisor for Home Depot. Her family remembers her vivacious spirit and artistic ability. She was known for her beautiful crafts and paintings. Susan especially loved Christmastime and trips to the beach. She was also an avid reader and a member of the Parrot Head Club. While her cats were special companions, her most cherished moments came from time spent with grandchildren. She was the widow of Wayne Williamson, and they enjoyed 40 years together before his passing in 2012.

Susan is survived by two children, Kahrensa “KoKo” King (Chris) of Guntown and Mike Williamson (Amy) of Becker; grandchildren, Hunter King, Colton King, Lakin Cusano, Erin Williamson, Coby Williamson, Mason Williamson, Alex Williamson, Addy Williamson, Tanner Poole (Peyton), Parker Poole (Kylee); two great-grandchildren, Brooks and Brecken Poole; and her siblings, Bev Zeiner, Cindy Tigrett, David Pound, and Sally Pound.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne; and a brother, Mark Pound.

The family will celebrate Susan’s life and memory with a special time of visitation on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Pegues, Tupelo.
