Tupelo – Shirley Boyd, age 74, passed away at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS on July 20, 2025. She was born November 23, 1950, to Earl and Irene Jobe. She enjoyed traveling to new places. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Spoiling her grandchildren was the highlight of her life. She was a former resident of Hunt County Texas where she worked as a cafeteria worker for the Caddo Mill School District.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Elliott and wife, Paula, of Grand Prairie, TX, and Chad Harmon of Baldwyn, MS; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Paulette Rhodes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary Boyd; one daughter, Carla Abney; one brother, Eddie Jobe; and daughter-in-law, Kelly Harmon.
