Collierville, Tennessee – Sara Crouch, 89, died on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 4, 1937, to Jesse “Shack” and Lilly Davis in Mississippi. She graduated from Plantersville High School, where she was named valedictorian of the Class of 1955.
Sara devoted her life to working with children by providing preschool education and caring for them. She was also very involved in her community, serving as a den mother for the Cub Scouts. A proud member of Collierville First Baptist Church, she was active in the senior adult church choir, women’s Bible studies, and Sunday school classes.
Sara loved traveling to new places, listening to good music, and watching the birds. She also had a special fondness for crosses and spent years collecting them, filling her home with many of them. Above all, she loved creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. The holidays were especially meaningful to her. Her loved ones will always remember walking through her door and being greeted by the wonderful smell of the food she had lovingly prepared for everyone.
She leaves behind three sons, Jim (Sandee), Brian (Fay), and Brent (Rebecca); ten grandchildren, Trey (Casey), Nikki, Christopher, Trinity (Ben), Scarlett, Alexis (Ashley), Taylor (Jordan), Tarrah, Kaleb, and Kaitlynn; seven great-grandchildren, Logan, Oliver, Henry, Blakely, Porter, Weston, and Piper; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Sara was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse “Shack” and Lilly Davis; two brothers, Shorty Davis and Dewey Davis; sister, Nannie Carol Brown; and grandson, Steven Crouch, Jr.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time Friday, October 30, 2026, at Collierville First Baptist Church in Collierville, Tennessee.
