Roy Christian

Auburn Community--Roy Lynn Christian passed away at his home on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at the age of 75. He was born July 23, 1949 in Tupelo, the son of Roy Roden Christian and Mildred Fowler Christian. For his entire career, Roy worked at Super Sagless, retiring after 46 years of service. He loved working with his beautiful roses, watching them bloom as he tended them. He was a humble Christian man and loved his only grandson, David, who was such a treasure and a tremendous help to his granddad. He enjoyed gospel singing and attended Open Door Church.

Roy is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janice Christian; two sons, Steven and David of the Auburn Community; grandson, David Roy Christian of Auburn; his sweet and special sister, Frances Sue Dyer of Auburn; sister-in-law, Sandra Hutcheson and husband, Larry, of Belden; and nieces and nephew, Angela, Tanya, Craig, and Andrea.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time Monday, May 19, 2025 at Pegues, Tupelo.

Services will be 3 p.m. Monday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. Scotty Crawson officiating. Burial will be in the Auburn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Alex Armstrong, David Christian, Carey Finney, Gavin Gann, Charlie Stanford, and Jack Stanford.
