BELDEN - Ridgeland "Ridge" Tharp Vail died Friday, Jan. 6, 2006, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Tupelo on January 12, 1988, and attended Tupelo High School. He was a student at Meridian Community College. He enjoyed sports, his friends, and his sweetheart, Deion Hester. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Tupelo Memorial Park with the Rev. Bill McAlilly officiating. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his mother, Monnie Tharp Vail, a sister, Camae Vail, and his grandmother, Maurine Vail, all of Tupelo; his aunts, Gail Tharp Pettit and husband, Bubba, of Kosciusko, and Gina Goff of Tupelo; his uncles, Jimmy Vail and wife, Carol, of Medina, Texas, and Don Vail and wife, Cathy, of Hattiesburg.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward "Eddie" Vail; his grandparents, Charles and Camae Tharp and Henry Vail; and his uncles, Chip Tharp and Mike Vail.
Pallbearers will be Jared Farrell, Will Sloan, Bran Dawson, Michael Kelly, Kyle Armstong, Patrick Ferguson, Ben Ferguson and Ryan Pettit.
Memorials may be made to the McDougal Center, 2434 S. Eason Blvd., Tupelo, MS 38804.
