Patsy Carr Mooreville - Patsy Carr, 87, a native and lifelong resident of Lee County, died Friday, November 18, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born August 30, 1929, to Sam Thomas and Lilla Ellis Payne. Patsy married the love of her life “Demp” Carr in 1948 and they shared nearly 50 years together before his passing in 1997. For 25 years she had owned Creative Interiors in the West Main Shopping Center in Tupelo. Traveling was a passion for Patsy as she had traveled extensively visiting all 50 of The United States. The Holy Land, Europe, and Ireland were among  15 countries she visited throughout her worldly travels. Patsy loved all the music of Elvis Presley and for many years belonged to the Elvis Presley Fan Club. Patsy loved her Church family at Mantachie Church of Christ where she had been a longtime and faithful member. She is survived by her daughter Diana Wallace (Tommy) of Mooreville; a special niece and caregiver, Bobbie Carr; special great nephew Chad Douglas Armstrong (Kristen) and their son Carter Douglas Armstrong; special great niece Lauren Jacobs (Kyle) and daughter Ava; nephew Bob Carr who looked to her as a mother figure;  and numerous additional nieces and nephews. Services honoring her life will be 1 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2016, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Minister Larry Lott officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and son-in-law Douglas Parker. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time Monday, November 21, 2016, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
