TupeloPatricia T. Bell, 86, died Friday, February 1, 2006 at her residence in Tupelo. A Chicago native, she was born November 3, 1919 to the late John and Katherine Urbuchaite Sokas. She was a registered American Red Cross nurse, having served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army during World War II. She had also worked as a public health nurse as well as a plant nurse for Brookwood Manufacturing. However, she spent most of her adult life as a loving mother and homemaker. She was an active and faithful member of St. James Catholic Church and was also a member of the Tupelo Homemakers Club.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Friday at St. James Catholic Church with Father Henry Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her daughter, Geraldine Morris of Grenada; two sons, John Bell and wife, Joy, Richard Bell and wife, Melinda, all of Tupelo; one brother Steve Sokas and wife, Florence, of Chicago, IL; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Edward Bell.

Pallbearers will be John Edward Bell, Marcus Bell, Christopher Bell, Jonathan Sultan, Klint Byars, Jeremy Bennett, Justin Bennett, Jed Morris, and Colby Sultan.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.

A vigil for the deceased will be at 8 p.m.
