Oliver George Tann, III

Tupelo - Oliver George Tann III, 53, died Tuesday, December 13th, 2016 at North Mississippi Medical Center.  Oliver was born June 1, 1963 in Clarksdale, MS to Oliver George Tann Jr. and Lois Legendre Tann.  He married Terry (Swindle) Tann who was the love of his life on April 25, 1987 and they were happily married for 29 years.  Oliver was a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church and was involved in numerous church activities including teaching in the youth group.  His hobbies included golfing, coaching, youth sports, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Terry Tann; two sons, Zachary and Tyler Tann; three brothers, Lawrence Clark of Culdesac, Idaho, Patrick Clark (Cheri) of Houston, Texas, Dennis Clark (Susie) of Oakland, Tennessee; one sister Jean Tann of Tallahassee, Florida; father-in-law, Jay Swindle; mother-in-law, Lucy Swindle; brother-in-law, Randy Swindle (Sara) of Mobile, Alabama; several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services honoring his life will be 3 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2016 at Harrisburg Baptist Church with Dr. Dennis Wiles of Arlington, TX officiating. Visitation will be Friday, December 16, 2016, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m at Harrisburg Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tann Children's Trust Fund c/o Renasant Bank in Tupelo, MS.
