Tupelo - Michael Darron Campbell, 39, died Sunday, September 27, 2009, at his residence after an extended illness. A Tupelo native and lifelong resident, he was born August 13, 1970 to Robert Luther and Mary Evelyn Hankins Campbell. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Memorial Services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at the family residence, 1189 Hankins Street, with visitation following until 6 p.m.. Rev. Phillip McCoy will officiate.
Survivors include his daughter, Katie Campbell of Pontotoc; his mother, Mary E. Gibson of Tupelo; his sister, Martha Lynn (Sissy) Young (Frank) of Glen; one brother, Robert Luther (Buddy) Campbell, Jr. (Kristie) of Pontotoc.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Luther (Sonny) Campbell; his grandparents, Roy and Lillie Mae Hankins.
