MARTHA AGNES ANDERSON
Pontotoc - MARTHA AGNES ANDERSON, 78, died Tuesday, August 15, 2006, at North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. A Lee County native, she was born May 23, 1928 to the late P. D. and Ernestine Burleson Simmons. She was a member of Word of Life Church and a homemaker.
Graveside Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2006 at White Zion Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Galloway officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Neal Sims Anderson of Pontotoc; a daughter, Sherry Whitehead of Pontotoc; a sister, Izetta Christian of Mantachie; three brothers, Gene Simmons of Tupelo, Leon Simmons of Saltillo, and Carl Simmons of Santee, Calif.; three grandchildren, Jason Whitehead of Tupelo, Christopher Whitehead of Memphis, Tenn., and Johnny Ray Dobbs of Verona; three great-grandchildren..
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Billy Ray Dobbs.
