Tupelo - Linda Kay White, 83, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026, at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo. Born on March 26, 1942, she was the daughter of Oliver Terry Williams and Donnis Virginia Bates Williams.
Linda earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Mississippi College. She dedicated many years to teaching third grade before later serving as a librarian at Mississippi College.
A faithful member of Pocahontas Baptist Church, Linda loved singing in the choir and participating in mission work. She will be remembered as a strong Christian woman whose faith guided her life and touched those around her.
Linda treasured time spent with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and dining out with those she loved most. Her kindness, warmth, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Linda was survived by her husband, Bill White; brother, Sammy Williams; sister, Shirley Rimes Waldron; and sons, Jeff White of Corinth, Mike White and his wife, Tracey, of Tupelo; grandsons, Ryan White of Corinth, Taylor White and his wife, Liza, Brandon White and his wife, Claudia, and Josh White.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A private family service will be held at her home. Pegues Funeral Directors have been entrusted with the care of her arrangements.
