Saltillo- Linda Sue Ray at the age of 69 years old, died Thursday, March 17, 2022, at North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. She is the daughter of Cecil Scott and Bobby Reaves Scott born on May 18, 1952. She was born and raised in Tupelo. She had a long career in manufacturing in the Guntown area. Linda enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers and decorating with outdoor solar lighting.
Linda leaves behind her husband, Jimmy Dale “Jim Bob” Ray; three sons, Mark Anthony Lamons, Emrick Lamons, and James “Derrick” Scott; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three brothers, Jimmy Lee Scott, Robert Ray Scott, and Billy Wayne Scott; sister, Barbara Jean McCalty and special aunt, Brenda Turner.
She was preceded in death by one son, George Wallace Lamons; her parents, Cecil and Bobbie Scott; and two sisters, Patricia Ann Harris, and Pamela Joyce West.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
