Linda A. Dickens

Linda A. Dickens Tupelo- Linda A. Dickens 74, passed away January 9, 2017 at Tupelo Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Washington, D.C. on August 29, 1942, to Alvin and Emma Tyrrell. Linda was raised in Washington, D.C. and later lived in Maryland, Daytona Beach, Florida and for the last 14 years had resided in Tupelo. She worked for the Volusia County School District in Florida as a crossing guard and in the lunch room. Linda lived life to the fullest and enjoyed playing her favorite card game, Phase 10. She is survived by one sister, Mary E. Smith of Ponce Inlet, Florida; one niece Mary O. Jalette (James G.) of Tupelo, several other nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary Dickens; one son, Gary Conrad Dickens Jr. The family will not hold formal services.
