Saltillo - Samuel Vanbuskirk Kirk Sandlin, 35, died suddenly, Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at his residence. A Saltillo native, he was born March 11, 1975, to Sammy and Betty Walters Sandlin. He was an employee of Sandlin Plumbing of Saltillo. He was a member of Covenant Life Presbyterian Church.
Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2010, at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Frank Breaux, Steve Yeoman and Bill Williams officiating. A Private burial will be held in Sandlin Family Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Taylor Nicole Sandlin of Saltillo and Mary Jane Sandlin of Harrisburg, Arkansas; one son, Elijah Graham Sandlin of Harrisburg, Arkansas; his parents, Sammy Sandlin of Saltillo and Betty Sandlin of Saltillo; his grandmother, Mary Edith Sandlin of Saltillo.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sandy Sandlin Finkel; his grandmother, Sybil Roper; his grandfather, Cecil Sandlin; one uncle, Bobby Sandlin.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Sandlin, Dayton Bentley, Charles Yeoman, Brandon Yeoman, Richard Hill, and Dale Brock.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2010, at the funeral home.
