Kenneth Stanford
Kenneth Ray Stanford, 87, crossed into Glory on March 1, 2026. He was born on July 31, 1938, in Ratliff, Mississippi to Ed and Gertrude Stanford.
After serving in the US National Guard, Kenneth had a long-standing career with the Tupelo Public School district. He married Gloria Brown Stanford in 1956, welcoming six children to the world during their time together. Kenneth remarried in 1985 to Trannie “Estene” Williams Stanford. He and Estene lived out the remainder of their lives together.
Kenneth loved the outdoors, spending many summers at campgrounds and lakes across North Mississippi.
He leaves behind his five children, Donna Gray of Guntown, Mark Stanford of Saltillo, Michael Stanford of Guntown, Jason Stanford of Auburn community, and Amanda Floyd (Doug) of Saltillo; step-children, Dale Williams (Sheila) of Baldwyn, Nina Lansdell (Jerry) of Saltillo, Glenn Williams (Sherry) of Mantachie, Mike Williams (Theresa) of Saltillo, and Angie Upton (Eddie) of Tupelo. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Herschel Stanford; his sister, Earlene Bradley; mother of his children, Gloria Stanford; their son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Debbie Stanford; his wife, Estene Stanford; and his stepson, Roger Williams.
Visitation will be 12 p.m. until service time Friday, March 6, 2026, at Pegues, Saltillo.
Services honoring his life will be 2 p.m. Friday March 6, 2026, at the Saltillo Chapel of Pegues with Bro. William Whitmon officiating. Burial will follow at Boguefala Cemetery.
