Obituary for Kenneth Lee McGehee Tupelo - Kenneth Lee McGehee, 54, died Thursday January 19, 2012, at his residence in Tupelo after a short illness. A Miami native, he was born September 9, 1957 to Richard Kenneth and Bonnie Jane Landrum McGehee. He was a graduate with honors from Mississippi State University and had additional graduate studies from New York University. He had lived in New York, Connecticut, and Florida before returning to Mississippi in 2006. Until declining health, he was curator of Tupelos Oren Dunn Museum. He enjoyed reading especially literature of historical nature. He loved gardening and was known as an excellant cook. A family memorial service will be held at a later date. W. E. Survivors include his parents, Richard Kenneth McGehee and Bonnie Landrum McGehee of Endville; his brother, Richard Curtis McGehee (Debbie) of Endville; a nephew, Curtis McGehee of Gainsville, Florida; a niece, Mellie McGehee of Oxford; his aunts, Mary Jones of Mars Hill, North Carolina and Sally Dotson of Topeka, Kansas; and his uncle Sam Landrum (Ann) of Raymond.
