Kay
Glover
April 5, 1938 — June 30, 2026
Saltillo – Kay Glover, 88, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Baldwyn Nursing Facility. She was born on Tuesday, April 5, 1938 to Charles Knight and Kathryn Langston in Lee County.
Kay was a faithful member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Saltillo. She dedicated many years of her life to working as a secretary in the accounting department of the Dodge’s Convenience Stores. Kay was a feisty woman with a wonderful sense of humor who never missed a chance to joke around and make those around her smile. Whether you knew her as Kay, Mama, or Grandma, you knew the love she had for her family. Some of her happiest moments were spent in the stands, cheering on her grandchildren at their games and celebrating each of their accomplishments.
Kay enjoyed the simple pleasures of reading a good book or working on a puzzle. She was also a devoted college football fan and could tell you just about anything there was to know about the game, especially her Mississippi State Bulldogs.
She is survived by her three children, Sandy Smith and her husband, Sam, of Amory, Tracy Moore and her husband, Kevin, of Guntown, Curt Glover of Saltillo; seven grandchildren, Lianna Reeder and her husband, Matthew, Alec Smith and his wife, Kim, Patrick Smith and his wife, Noelle, Mary Williams and her husband, Kyler, Robert Glover, Chris Glover, Renee Glover; and six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Buddy Knight.
Pegues Funeral Directors have been entrusted with the care of her arrangements. There are no services to be announced at this time.
The family would also like to thank the nurses and staff of the Baldwyn Nursing Facility for their wonderful and loving care of Ms. Kay.
