Mooreville—Karen Lyn Reed, 66, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at her daughter’s home. Karen was born August 1, 1956, to Edward ONeal Trice and Thelma Dean Parks Trice in St. Louis, Missouri. On January 1, 1981 right after midnight, Karen married Steve Randy Reed. They were married for over twenty years, building a life filled with love, laughter, and precious memories.
In her professional life, Karen was a talented seamstress. She found fulfillment in her work within the garment manufacturing industry. Karen was an avid reader who would often be found immersed in the pages of a good book. She also enjoyed playing computer puzzles and appreciated a good meal.
Beyond her personal interests, Karen’s greatest joy came from her family. She showered her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with affection and adoration. Along with her daughter, she attended Family Worship Center.
Karen is survived by her daughters, Barbara Stricklin and Janet Nix (Kevin) both of Mooreville; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Susie Jones; and one brother, Alan Trice (Faye).
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Sharon Rose Thompson; son-in-law, Larry Stricklin; and brother-in-law, Sonny Jones.
A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
