Juanita “Nita” Dickerson Phillips
Franklin, Kentucky- Juanita Dickerson Phillips, 92, died Monday, April 24, 2023, at her residence in Franklin. A native of Tupelo, Mississippi she was the daughter of the late Leon Dickerson and Delphia Wallis Dickerson, born on January 14, 1931. She was a member of Franklin First Baptist Church.
Nita is survived by her husband, Gordon Phillips of Franklin; two sons, Gary Phillips and his wife, Leann, of Franklin, and Pete Phillips and his wife, Mary Beth of Tupelo; siblings, Mae Miller Stanley and Carl Huffstutler; grandchildren, Peyton, Nowlin, and Cameron Scoggins, John, Dillon, and Evan Phillips; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ayce Scoggins; brothers, Joe, and Ed Dickerson; and sister, Mary Mercer.
Visitation will be 12 until 1 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2023, at Pegues, Tupelo.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2023, at Tupelo Memorial Park, Tupelo.
