Saltillo-- John Edward Lorrigan went to be with his maker on February 25, 2022. John had fought the good fight and battled his cancer for almost 12 years. He was born on June 9, 1948, to Jack and Elaine Lorrigan in Wisconsin. He was the oldest of ten children. John loved life and he loved people. Throughout his career, he was a long-haul trucker for 30 years and a volunteer fireman. He was loved by his friends and co-workers alike. John currently lived in Saltillo, with his wife Rita of 12 years.
He leaves behind three children: Shawn Lorrigan (Barbara), Shannon Menard (Steve) and A.J. Lorrigan (Lisa), two stepdaughters, Ashley McCutchen and Leslie Pitts (Jerry), four grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandson. He loved his brothers and sisters, along with tons of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Family was very important to John.
John’s family is planning a private service to be announced at a later time. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors assisted with the arrangements.
