J.A. Cupp

Saltillo – J.A. Cupp, 60, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2026. He was born on Thursday, January 20, 1966, to the late Christine and Jessie Allen Cupp.

J.A. loved spending time outside, whether he was mowing the yard, working around the pool, or out in his garden tending to his flowers. He married his wife, Terry, on Halloween and the two spent a wonderful 25 years together. He was fun loving guy who never met a stranger, and he always brought a laugh to any conversation he was part of. J.A. was definitely a talker, and would always have something to say back to you. He was the kind of man who loved everybody, and everyone who knew him loved him right back.

J.A. is survived by his wife, Terry Cupp; children, Austin Cupp (Tiffany), Gavin Cupp, and Niki Dunn; grandchildren, Liam Cupp, Jace Cupp, Ben Tigner, Kelli McNutt; siblings, Danny Ray Cupp (Melinda), Debbie Shelton (Roland), and Lisa Beville (Brandon); nephew, Jermie Holt; and several other nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until service time Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at Pegues, Tupelo.

The funeral service honoring Mr. J.A. will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues Funeral Directors with Bro. Gerald Gann officiating. Burial will follow at Eggville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jace Cupp, Ben Tigner, Jermie Holt, Mike Bishop, Brock Vigna, and Bo Tapp.
