Hugo Vasquez

Mooreville- Hugo Radhames Vasquez, 71, died Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Hugo was born July 28, 1950, to Hugo Jose Vasquez and Rosa Ascona Vasquez. Hugo was born and raised in the Dominican Republic.
Hugo, with his kind-hearted and welcoming spirit, never met a stranger. He valued the people around him. He was a sports enthusiast especially fond of baseball, a sport he enjoyed playing as well as watching. Hugo’s greatest loves were his family, sports, and deep sea fishing.
Hugo will also be remembered for his strong work ethic and commitment to his long-spanning and successful career in chemical engineering for Mueller Brass.
Hugo will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 46 years, Elsa Liriano Vasquez of Mooreville; father, Hugo Jose Vasquez; three daughters, Rosa Rutland (Matthew) of Dorsey, Carolynn Frith (Brian) of Tupelo, and Jackelynn Earnest (Ray) of Mooreville; five grandchildren, Gavin, Sofie, Isabel, James, and Abby; two sisters, Laura Vasquez and Alejandra Vasquez; and two brothers, Rafelito Vasquez and Marcos Vasquez.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Services honoring his life will be held at a later date.
