Henry Harrison Daniels I, "Big Henry"

Tupelo - “Big Henry” Harrison Daniels, I passed away peacefully Monday, August 10, 2026, in Tupelo, Mississippi, following a brief illness.

Born on June 19, 1943, he was a respected business owner who sold insurance for more than 50 years. He also owned Margarete's Fine Chocolates for 25 years, where he was known for selling chocolate covered strawberries and Tupelo Honey. He gave his time to youth sports, coaching many teams through Tupelo Parks and Recreation. He enjoyed time with friends, music, and local spots like Grady’s Golf, Shockley’s Restaurant, and Good Time Charlie’s.

He is survived by his son Henry Daniels II, his wife Katie, three grandchildren, Emma Kate Grubbs, Mollie Tess Herring (Silas), Henry Harrison Daniels III and two great grandchildren, Graham Grubbs and Adam Grubbs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, ten siblings, and his grandson-in-law, Adam Grubbs.
