MoorevilleGither O. Elliott, 80, died Monday, September 12, 2005, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born November 5, 1924, to the late Flavious and Florence Farris Elliott. He was retired in 1986 from Eljers Plumbing. A U.S. Army veteran, he served during World War II. He was a member of Mooreville United Methodist Church.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Sammy Washburn and Rev. J. D. Hatley officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Inez Hatley Elliott of Mooreville; two daughters, Glinda Carr and Suzanne Fowler, both of Mooreville; one son, Gary Elliott and his wife, Kathy, of Oxford; one brother, Charles Elliott of Mooreville; three grandchildren, Brian Carr of Mooreville, Leslie Warren and Paula Elliott, both of Oxford.
Pallbearers will be Ken Sullins, Johnny Perkins, Joe Criddle, David Elliott, Danny Riley, and Halton Elliott.
Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home on Jefferson Street.
