Guntown - GENE BARRY SCOTT, 66, died Wednesday, January 23, 2008, at Residence after an extended illness. A native of Mississippi, he was born October 16, 1941 to the late Burt Scott and Maudie Brown Post. He had lived in Illinois for several years before returning to Guntown in 1987.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at W. E. Pegues on Jefferson Street.
Survivors include his son, Barry Scott of Guntown.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 15 years, Barbara Scott.
