FRANKIE MULLINS JONES

NettletonFrankie Mullins Jones, 93, died Wednesday, February 1, 2006, at Daniel Heath Care after an extended illness. A Monroe County native, she was born February 26, 1912 to the late Marion and Lula Bell Jackson Mullins. She was a 1932 graduate of Nettleton High School and one of the original workers at Reeds Manufacturing. She was married to her husband of 36 years, Tracy Jones, who died in June of 1977. A faithful member of Nettletons First Baptist Church, she was dedicated to serving in any capacity. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her church family.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Nettleton with Dr. Keith Dowden officiating. Burial will be in Mullins Cemetery. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Hawkins and husband, Richard, of Nettleton; three granddaughters, Jill Brookman and husband, Danny, of Nettleton, Marla Williams and husband, Greg, of Mantachie; Tracy Hawkins of Nettleton; one grandson, Marc Hawkins and wife, Melissa, of Blue Springs; six great-grandchildren, Daniel, Joseph, Dylan, Nick, Kaitlyn, and Maggie; and one sister, Nettie Lou Hendrix of Tupelo.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, two sisters, Clara Roberts, Thelma Mullins; and two brothers, Pete Mullins and Grafton Mullins.

Pallbearers will be Bill Griffith, Thomas Griffith, Steward Ponds, Jim Mullins, Charles Mullins, and Billy Jones.

Memorials may be made to the music program or to the Wee Day Care of First Baptist Church of Nettleton, PO Box 427, Nettleton, MS 38858.
