TupeloForrest Douglas "Dougie Walton, Jr., 34, died Saturday, September 10, 2005, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was a graduate of Itawamba Agriculture High School and Delta State University with a degree in Aviation. He previously worked as a flight instructor. He was employeed by Wal-Com Construction Company and was owner of Mississippi Auto Sales. He enjoyed antique cars, motorcycles, and camping. He was a great husband and father to his children. He was a member of the Orchard United Methodist Congregation.

Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Orchard United Methodist Congregation with Rev. Bryan Collier, Rev. Paul Brashier, and Rev. Terry Graham officiating. Burial will be in Benefield Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Jimma Jackson Walton of Tupelo; his children, Addison Belle Walton and Avery Glen Walton of the home; his mother, Patricia Walton of Saltillo; his father, Doug Walton Sr. of Fulton; one sister, Julie Umfress and her husband, Shane, of Mantachie; a brother, Payton Snow Walton of Fulton; his grandmother, Pauline Walton of Fulton; his mother-in- law and father-in-law, Claudia and Jim Jackson of Tupelo; an uncle, David Collum of Fort Worth, Tex.; and an aunt, Jessica Stockel of Germantown, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Glen Walton, Trelvie Collum, and Evie Lee Collum.

Pallbearers will be Kim Cowart, Kevin Cowart, Pat Wallace, Richard Carpenter, Reggie Haynes, Shane Umfress, Chuck Wood, James Price, Mark Collum, and Vince Saia.

Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Steele, Butch Wallace, Jason Couey, and the Orchard Small Group.

Memorials may be made to the Walton Children's Fund in care of any BancorpSouth location.
