Faye Ellen Yarbrough
Tupelo- Faye Ellen Yarbrough, age 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Landmark Lifestyles. She was born on September 1, 1935, to Flemon Booker and Eudie Mae Vandiver Booker, and was raised in the close-knit New Salem community of Itawamba County.
Faye spent 28 dedicated years in Advertising Sales at WTVA, where she formed lifelong friendships and was known for her professionalism, her determination, and her unmistakable spark. On March 4, 1977, she married the love of her life, Bill, and together they shared 48 wonderful years of partnership. Their life was filled with adventure: traveling the world, searching for hidden treasures in antique shops, and curating an impressive collection that reflected both her eye for beauty and her appreciation for history.
A faithful member of Belden Baptist, Faye lived her Christian faith with quiet strength and unwavering devotion. She was wise, loving, and generous, with a personality as straightforward as it was warm. She loved cooking for those she cared about, watching football, and settling in to watch her favorite game shows: simple joys that brought her comfort and delight.
Of all her many accomplishments, nothing mattered more to Faye than her family. She was endlessly proud of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and she celebrated each of their milestones with genuine joy and heartfelt enthusiasm. Her love for them was deep, constant, and unconditional.
Faye will be remembered for her kindness, her honesty, her giving spirit, and the steadfast love she showed to everyone blessed to know her. Her presence will be profoundly missed, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Yarbrough; step-children, Andy Yarbrough (Peggy), Buck Yarbrough (Gena), Terri Stanford (John), and Kim Hardy (Jeff); grandchildren, Amy Sheffield (James), Matthew Coleman (Katlin), Danielle Jaycox, Joshua Gibson, Andrew Yarbrough (Ashley), Elizabeth Yarbrough, Austin Yarbrough (Juliana), Chelsea Wildmon (Wesley), Houston Yarbrough (Dakota), Stephen Stanford (Megan), Taylor Stanford (Addie), Adam Stanford, Joshua Wells-Hardy (Anthony), and Jacob Hardy (Rachel); great-grandchildren, Anna Claire Ivester (J.D.), Sloane Lyle (Austin), John Alan Coleman, Klarksyn Coleman, Christian Jaycox, and Dorian Jaycox; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren, Anna Reid, Tate, and Levi.
