Faye Hulsey
Skyline Community- Faye Hulsey, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at her home. She was born on March 16, 1944, to Roy Edward Boyd and Mamie Hazel Wiley Boyd.
On June 15, 1961, she married the love of her life, Eldon Hulsey. Their marriage of going on 65 years was a beautiful example of devotion, commitment, and enduring love. Faye became a member of Anchor Holds Church in September 2000, where she was the church secretary and her husband is an Elder Deacon. Her love for the Lord was evident in her daily life, and she found great joy in studying the Word of God. Her faith guided her and was a source of strength throughout her life.
Over the years, Faye built a life marked by hard work, determination, and grace. She began her career as a seamstress, carefully honing her craft while balancing the many responsibilities of daily life. With a desire to grow and provide even more for her family, she furthered her education and transitioned into clerical work, where she applied her keen eye for detail and strong work ethic to accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and administrative roles.
Throughout her professional journey, she served in a variety of positions, including working with Marshall Durbin, in garment factories in Tupelo, as a bookkeeper at Kirksy Brothers, a payroll clerk at Pepsi-Cola, and as a faithful church secretary for 15 years. In every role, she was known for her dedication, reliability, and quiet strength.
Above all, Faye treasured her calling as a homemaker. She was a deeply devoted and loving mother who poured her heart into her children, offering steady guidance, constant encouragement, and unconditional love. She had a special gift for making her home a place of warmth, comfort, and welcome.
Faye was a talented seamstress and quilter who lovingly created beautiful pieces that will be cherished for years to come. She enjoyed cross stitching and took pride in her handiwork. She was also an excellent cook, known especially for making the best coconut pie, a favorite among family and friends. Faye’s life was marked by steady faith, quiet strength, and deep love for those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and precious memories that will be treasured by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Eldon Hulsey; children, Joyce Chambliss (Paul), Delisa Faye King (Jeff); son-in-law, Scott Davis; grandchildren, Katherine Jones (Cory), Ashley Dye (Jason), Christopher Pennington (Brittany), Lacie Morgan (Chris), and Devin Davis (Ashley); and siblings, Mamie Sue Wallace, Doris Jean Smith, Louise Pilgrim, Shirley Prichard, Jimmy Boyd, and Edye Burchfield.
