Doris Lee

Ecru – Doris Lee, 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center. Born on August 20, 1941, she was the beloved daughter of the late Dorris Wesley Sheppard and Rama Roebuck Sheppard.

Doris was a lifelong lover of books, often found immersed in a novel or solving crossword and word search puzzles. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore new destinations, always eager to experience the world beyond her doorstep. Known for her warmth and compassion, Doris touched the lives of many with her kindness. She held a special place in her heart for her dogs, whose companionship brought her great joy. She loved spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren.

Her memory will be cherished by all.

She is survived by her children, Terry Bostick (Candais), Sherrie Palmer (Keith), Larry Bostick (Lori); her grandchildren, Nicole Chism, Tracie Coleman (Chris), Chandra Bennett (Kacey), Kim Bridges (Justin), Mandi Nichols (Nick), Misti Bramlett (Reid), Brooke Brooks (James), Bryson Palmer, Brayden Palmer (Christian), Tommy Bostick, and Brianna Hanlon (Ryan); 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a host of other family; and several very special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.R. Lee; one son, David Bostick; and two sisters, Nancy Bell and Jeanette Bardwell.

There will be a private family service. Pegues Funeral Directors have been entrusted with the care of her arrangements.
