Donald “Don” Coggins

Saltillo – Donald “Don” Coggins passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026. He was born on Tuesday, November 7, 1961, in Baldwyn, Mississippi, to James Mabry Coggins and Wilma Gladys Miles.

Don worked primarily in roofing and construction throughout his career. He was very talented and he loved to draw and paint. Don had a generous heart and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He had a way of making friends wherever he went, and it seemed that everyone knew Don. Above all, he loved his family dearly and cherished the time he spent with them.

He is survived by his three children, Mickie Johnson (Robert), Misty Parker (Chris), and Tonjia Parchman (Jeff); nine grandchildren, Kolten Johnson, Katie Mae Johnson, Bri Underwood, Tyler Underwood, Nickols Underwood, Jaxson Parker, Whitney Rodgers, Hunter Rodgers, and Matt Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Emrey Rodgers, Aritona Clifford, JC Clifford, and Sawyer Clifford; two brothers, Tommy Coggins (Charlotte) and Billy Coggins (Barbara); and one sister, Sherry Williams (Glenn).

He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandchild, Khloie Carter; and his sisters, Judy Newcomb and Margarett Knight.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Pegues, Saltillo.

A memorial service honoring the life of Don will be at 11 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2026, at the Saltillo Chapel of Pegues Funeral Directors with Bro. Scotty Witcher officiating.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Williams, Tyler Underwood, Hunter Rodgers, Caden Parker, Nickols Underwood, and Tristan Williams.
