Diane Hill

Syble Diane Hill, 77, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, September 27, 2025. She was born on October 28, 1947, to Henry Gattis and Aliene Norris Gattis. Diane shared 48 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Kenneth Hill, until his passing in February of 2021. She built a career as a beautician before spending many years as a dedicated employee at American Family Radio, where she later retired.

Diane had a lifelong love of books, always eager to read and learn. She also had a deep affection for cats, who brought her comfort and joy throughout her life. She especially adored her niece and nephew, treasuring the time she spent with them. Diane’s love of reading, her devotion to her pets, and her role as a caring aunt will be warmly remembered by those who knew and loved her.

Diane leaves behind her sister, Martha Hudson and her husband, Chuck, of Saltillo; niece, Kathryn Sapp and her husband, Jeremy, of Saltillo; and grandnephews, Everett Sapp, Lane Sapp, Henry Sapp, and Jesse Hudson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hill; and parents, Henry and Aliene Gattis.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Pegues, Tupelo.

Services honoring Diane’s life will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues. Burial will follow at Beech Springs Cemetery.
