David E. Moore
Saltillo - David E. Moore 53, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center. David was born March 25,1963, in Baldwyn to Jessie Flurmon and Mozella Swinney Moore . He was a 1982 graduate of Tupelo High School and joined the Army after graduation. He was in the Army for 8 years and the National Guard for 12 years. He served as a Tank Mechanic as a part of the 155th Division in Tupelo. He served in Desert Strom and was Gulf War Veteran. David worked as a mechanic for Tri-State Thermo King for the last 8 years. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Tupelo. David loved to play his guitar, fish and spend time with his puppy, Peanut.
Survivors include his brother, James Moore (Linda) of Saltillo; one sister, Wilma Hopkins (Tommy) of Booneville; five nieces, Laura Curbow (Britt) of Eggville, Tanya Murpree (Butch) of Tupelo, Teresa Jones (Eric) of Eggville, April Irwin (Casey) of Booneville, Victoria Wallace of Eggville ; two nephews, Daniel McDonald of Tremont and Billy McDonald Jr., (Makayla) of Tremont; several great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Rebecca Smith and her husband J.W. Smith.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2017, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Alan Hall officiating. Graveside services with full military honors will follow at Hope Well Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be the employees and staff of Thermo King of Memphis, Tennessee and Rebecca Butler and staff of Express Care West.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2017, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
