She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Saltillo where she selflessly served as a choir member and Sunday school teacher. Connie was an avid Mississippi State Bulldogs fan and loved to travel.

She leaves behind her two children, Dr. Chuck Herring and his wife, Darlene, of Collierville, Tennessee and Pam Walton and her husband, Harry, of Saltillo; grandchildren, Heather Shivers and her husband, Vic, Zac Herring and his wife, Tina, DeAnna Dahlem, Drew Dahlem, and Carmen Hill and her husband, Adam; six great-grandchildren, Cade, Aynsley, Laken, Reid, Kennedy, and Benton; and Lewis’ children, Cindy Warren and Bob Branyan and his wife, Edye.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John D. Herring Jr.; her second husband, Lewis Branyan; two sisters, Corrine Herndon and Cornelia Carlock; and two brothers, Lawrence Buse and Tracy Buse.
