Chasney Glass

MOOREVILLE – Chasney Glass, 48, passed away on June 9, 2025. Born on February 15, 1977, in Amory, Mississippi, to Kenneth Gilmore and Brenda Jernigan, she lived a life marked by devotion to her family, faith, and community.

Chasney was a dedicated restaurant manager whose warmth and hard work touched everyone she worked with. Outside of her professional life, she was a faithful member of Living Water Community Church, where she found strength, fellowship, and purpose.

She had a passion for cooking and loved nothing more than preparing meals for family and friends. Watching her son play football brought her immense pride, and she cherished simple moments spent eating out or watching TV with those she loved most.

Chasney will be remembered for her kind heart, her joyful spirit, and the love she poured into every part of her life. She is deeply missed by her family, friends, church community, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her

Chasney is survived by three sons, Jacob Glass of Mooreville, Mississippi, Joshua Glass of Fulton, Mississippi, and Nathaniel Bannister of Mooreville, Mississippi; grandchild Emelyn Glass; mother, Brenda Jernigan of Mooreville, Mississippi; siblings, Billy Thompson, Steven Griggs, Wanda Blair, and Kenny Gilmore.

Chasney is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Gilmore, and her sister Dorris.

Visitation will be 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2025, at Pegues Tupelo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2025, at Jefferson Street Chapel with Jacob Glass officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Glass, Joshua Glass, Perry Hood, Justice Dunaway, Bobby Brewer, and Justin Bannister.
