TUPELO - Carrie Box Bishop, 94, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2006, at Rosewood Personal Care Home after an extended illness. A Waverly, Tenn., native, she was born June 17, 1911, to the late Putnam and Lula Mae Horner Box. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two nieces, Bonnie Powell of Tupelo and Sandra Lowry and husband, Danny, of Lexington, Tenn.; two nephews, Maurice Pearrow of Caledonia and Lester Pearrow and wife, Virginia, of Santa Rosa, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman C. Bishop; and three sisters, Bonnie Pearrow, Mildred Box Czeto and Mary Otto.
Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund.
