Mathiston - Carol H. McDowell, 69, died Thursday, December 23, 2010, at The North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. A native of Collville, Washington, she was born February 14, 1941 to Harry and Evelyn Kern Higgins. She was a retired medical technician and had also served in the U.S. Army.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Wm. Albert McDowell of Mathiston; two sons, Willam A McDowell, II (Luz) of Monterey, Calif. and Scott M. McDowell (Michelle Altimore) of Richardson, Tex.; one sister, Harriet Johnson of Spokane, Wash.; her mother Evelyn Higgins of Spokane, Wash; one nephew, Mark Davis of Spokane, Wash.; two nieces, Sherrie Turner of Spokane, Wash. and Rita Ann Zadko of Las vegas, Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her father.
