TUPELOCallie Sue McCarter, 100, died Thursday, January 26, 2006, at her sisters residence. A Blue Springs native, she was born November 11, 1905 to the late Isaac Allison and Sara Williamson McCarter. She had lived in the same house in the Macedonia Community since 1907, and was a graduate of Sherman High School. She was a homemaker and a wonderful role model for her numerous nieces and nephews. She was the oldest member of Fairfield Presbyterian Church.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Fairfield Presbyterian Church with Sammy Lansdell officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two sisters, Nannie Rice of the Macedonia Community, Sara "Polly Thomason of Tupelo; one sister-in-law, Fay McCarter, of Blue Springs; one brother, Robert "Bill McCarter and wife, Marietta, of Columbus; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lou Branyan; four brothers, John R. McCarter, James "Pick McCarter, Ben F. McCarter, Earl "Doc McCarter; and one nephew, Charles McCarter.

Pallbearers will be Jay McCarter, Matt McCarter, Hugh Cochran, Jim Hettler, Mike McCarter, and Tim C. McCarter.
