Brody Morgan

Saltillo – Brody Morgan, 24, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on August 26, 2026, in his home surrounded by family. He was born on August 6, 2002, and grew up on Birmingham Ridge.

Brody graduated from Saltillo High School as an honors student in 2020. In December 2022, he graduated from Itawamba Community College with a degree in Welding and Fabrication.

Brody was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, passed away far too soon, leaving behind a love and emptiness that words can never fully express.

Brody was a young man who lived with determination, passion, and purpose. His circle was small, but the people he allowed into his life were loved deeply and fiercely. He was an incredibly loyal friend, and once you became part of Brody’s family, you truly became family. He would do anything humanly possible to help the people he loved. If you ever needed Brody, he was there.

Brody was a Christian, and his faith was an important part of who he was. He often spoke openly with his friends and family about his faith and his beliefs. He was a member of Saltillo First Baptist Church and, more recently, found a new church home at The Sycamore in Tupelo, where he felt welcomed, accepted, and surrounded by a nonjudgemental love that he deeply cherished. His church family became an important part of his life, and he was grateful for the love and acceptance he found there.

Brody took great pride in working hard to achieve his goals. He had recently started his own insurance business and was thriving in that arena. He was so proud of what he was building and excited about the future he was creating for himself. He believed in working hard, setting goals, and doing whatever it took to accomplish them.

One of Brody’s greatest passions was bodybuilding. He spent countless hours in the gym, working toward his lifelong dream of becoming a professional bodybuilder. He trained seven days a week, pushing himself relentlessly to become stronger and better. Bodybuilding wasn’t simply a hobby for Brody; it was his life’s dream. And he was killing it!! He was making tremendous progress and was working harder than ever. Anyone that knew Brody knew how much bodybuilding meant to him and how proud he was of his progress.

Brody had an appreciation for the finer things in life; he especially had a love of jewelry and watches. He could appreciate the smallest details and took great joy in finding pieces that caught his eye. His love of these things was just one of many ways his personality and individuality shone through. He was also a lover of music, across all genres. Music was his refuge. He could lose himself in a song, allowing it to quiet the noise around him, ground his heart and bring peace to his troubled soul.

To his family, Brody was so much more than the difficult moments he experienced in his life. His time here was breathtakingly short. There were so many dreams left to accomplish, milestones left to celebrate, and memories left to make. His family will forever wish they could have had more time with him.

Brody is survived by his devoted and loving mother, Susan Duffie Byrd and stepfather Jeffrey; his father, Michael Morgan; brother, Francke Morgan; grandparents, Wiliam and Patsy Duffie, Brenda Carter, and Tommy; aunt, Beverly Duffie Carr; uncle, John Robbins; stepbrother, Brandon Byrd (Bri); stepsister, Brandy Young( Brandon); and his special cousin, Savanna McDuffy (Dallas) who was more like a sister to him; and countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his very special great grandmother, Blanche Easterling, affectionately known to everyone as “Big Mamaw.”

Brody’s life was not defined by his struggles. It was defined by the love he gave, the faith he carried, the dreams he pursued, the people he helped, and the memories he left behind.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Pegues, Saltillo.

A funeral service honoring Brody’s life will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the Saltillo Chapel of Pegues Funeral Directors with Bro. Bobby Holland officiating. There will be a private family burial to follow at McNeil Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Francke Morgan, Andrew Elliott, Weston Little, Zac Homan, Sky Bowland and Frankie Wilon.
