Barry Johnson, Sr.

Randolph- Barry Dwain Johnson, Sr. died Saturday, December 9, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born on November 14, 1958 in Alabama to Roland and Qillie Johnson. At the age of 17, Barry joined the United States Army and proudly served his country. Following his military service, he was a truck driver for 32 years. He was an extremely intelligent man, who enjoyed expanding his knowledge on a vast variety of subjects. His humor was one-of-a-kind; he enjoyed making everyone around his laugh and always knew how to lighten a mood. Barry enjoyed working with leather, riding horses, remodeling homes, and making jewelry.

Barry leaves behind his fiancé Evette Hanson of Randolph; four children, Dwain Johnson, Joe Johnson, Jeff Johnson, and Christina Simms; a host of grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Johnson; parents; and siblings.
