ANNIS WREN
Tupelo - Annis Akins Wren, 88, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at The Sanctuary Hospice House after an extended illness. A Pontotoc Co. native, she was born June 25, 1917 to the late Charlie and Bertha Whitworth Akins. She spent most of her life as a homemaker She was a member of Worship Center Baptist Church where she was saved on April 9, 2006.
Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Tupelo Memorial Park with Bro. Rodney West officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter, Jane Riley of Tupelo; her granddaughter, Kristie West and husband, Bro. Rodney West of Pine Grove; five great-grandchildren, Blake, Elijah, Mollie-Grace, Izabella, and Selah Sophia; one brother, Max Akins and wife, Hattie Lee, of Pontotoc; three nieces, and three nephews .
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Wren and one great-grandson, Wade West.
Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
