Andrew Steven Burczynski, 48, of Nashville, Tennessee- a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend- passed away on December 30, 2020 in Nashville.
A grave-side service will be held at the Saltillo Cemetery in Saltillo, Mississippi on Sunday January 3, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. with Revs. James Lewis, Randy Bostick and Tommy Vinson officiating. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors are handling the funeral arrangements.
Andy was born in Elmira, New York to Mike and Claire Burczynski on August 10, 1972. He spent his childhood in Mississippi and went to high school in Moscow Idaho, where he graduated in 1990. He went on to earn a B.A. degree in fine arts from Mississippi College, and he spent a summer in Australia doing Christian mission work there. Andy “Snakefarm” Burczynski was a multi-talented artist and musician who sold commissioned paintings and played in several musical bands. He was best known as the bassist and upright bass player for the Jason Turner Band.
His kind and generous spirit, and his presence in the musical community, is tearfully missed. He is survived by his mother Claire Burczynski, his father Mike Burczynski, and his sister Heather Burczynski (all of Nashville, TN); his brother Ted Burczynski, his sister-in-law Jennifer Burczynski, his nephew Michael Burczynski, and his niece Chloe Burczynski (all of Kinnelon, NJ); and his grandmother Daisy Burczynski (of Millport New York) and uncles, aunts and many loving cousins. His canine companion, Lanna Trevette will stay with the family.
The family acknowledges and appreciates the outpouring of love and support for their beloved son, brother and uncle, and hopes everyone can be comforted thinking of the positive impact Andy made in the world and that he is now in a better place.
