Addie Paslay

Saltillo – Addie Paslay, 91, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. She was born on Monday, April 8, 1935, to the late James Andrew Otto and Evelyn Sarah Otto.

Addie spent her life pouring love into the people around her. She and her husband, Lea Paslay, Sr., were married for fifty years before his passing, and they raised a family that became the center of her world. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she loved every single one of them dearly. Those who knew her would tell you that she was a ray of sunshine and the type of person who was always smiling. She never complained, and she had a way of lighting up any room she walked into. Her faith ran through everything she did, and she treasured her Sisterhood Bible study. Her love of a good game showed every fall as a devoted Ole Miss Rebels fan. She was thrilled by the team's recent win over LSU, a particularly happy note in her final days.

Addie is survived by her children, Lea Paslay, Jr. (Rhonda), Lynn Corbett (Creig), Lisa Ford (Dennis Morgan), and Mary Ann Pack; sister, Eleaner Leftwich; grandchildren, Kristin Hayes (Ben Tate), Kimberly Jeffares (Bo), Kathryn Corbett, Keeley Hardin (Ty), Mallory Smith (Caleb), Morgan Vance (Josh), Lea Paslay III (Shelley), Drew Paslay (Catherine), Dayna Burns (Keith), Charley Paslay, Ashlea Brown (Chad), Anna Clifford (Tory), Paslay Adkins, Alex Pack, and Noah Pack (Emma); and a host of great-grandchildren that she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lea Clayton Paslay, Sr.; parents, James and Evelyn Otto; daughter, Leslie Renee Adkins; sisters, Rose Marie Otto and Ella Mae Lemon; and son-in-law, Ron Ford.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Monday, September 28, 2026, at Saint James Catholic Church.

The funeral service honoring Mrs. Addie’s life will be 3 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2026, at the Saint James Catholic Church with Father Tim Murphy, Father Henry Shelton, and Father Robert Antony officiating.

Pallbearers will be Chad Brown, Creig Corbett, Tory Geifford, Dennis Morgan, Ty Hardin, Bo Jeffares, Ben Tate, and Ronnie Bell.

The family would like to thank her caregivers for their exceptional care in her last days, especially Mrs. Gloria Bogan, Mrs. Sharon Clifton, and the staff and nurses of Legacy Hospice.
