Obituary for William T. (Buddy) McKinney Tupelo - William T. Buddy McKinney, 79, died Thursday, July 28, 2011, at his residence. He was born June 5, 1932 in Tupelo. He was a retired after 22 years of service with the United States AirForce as a Senior Master Sergeant. He was a member of Boguefala Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed Ham radios. A family man, he was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Roger D. Franks officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Clara Nell McKinney of Tupelo; one son, Butch McKinney (Mitzie) of Tupelo; one daughter, Debbie Fonseca (Joe) of Riverside, CA; two step-daughters, Lisa Wheat (Jason) of Tupelo and Teresa Johnson of Mooreville; one step-son, Danny Lewis of Tupelo; one brother, Jack McKinney (Doris) of Verona; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Shari Freeman; one sister, Tolsie Clayton. Pallbearers will be Eric Walters, Jason Wheat, Danny Lewis, Nick Lewis, Michael Wood and Jessie Ford.
