WAYNE D. HENDRIX Tupelo - Wayne Delane Hendrix, 70, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 10, 2016. He was born July 23, 1945 in Nettleton, Mississippi to Gladys Yeager Crump. He was a 27 year retiree from Day-Brite. He was a long-time dedicated and faithful member of Tri-County Baptist Church, Sherman. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, gardening, farming, yard work and telling others about Jesus. He had a kind, loving, good-hearted personality and had a way of making everyone he encountered feel special. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues, Tupelo with Bro. Billy Foster and Bro. Chris Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, west of Belden, Mississippi. Survivors include his mother, Gladys Crump of the Macedonia Community; daughter, Kayla Orman (John) of Guntown; two sons, Lonnie Hendrix (fiancée, LouAnne Rasberry) of Tupelo, Roy Hendrix (Missy) of Tupelo; six grandchildren, Madison Hendrix, Katlynn and Alex Orman, Kayla Dysarz, and Thomas and Katy Oswalt. He is preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Judy Ann Hendrix; father, Samuel J. Crump. Pallbearers will be John Orman, Ronnie Berryman, Rodney Turner, Thomas Oswalt, Danny J. Coker, and Larry Hutcheson. Honorary pallbearers will be Percy Garner, Bobby Russell and Ben Johnson. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
