Wayne "Cornbread Red" Butler

Mooreville—Wayne “Cornbread Red” Butler, 61, passed away Friday, October 9, 2020 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born July 5, 1959 in Tennessee, the son of Hershell Butler and Mary Elizabeth Crunk Butler Connors. Wayne worked as a carpenter and loved hunting and fishing. He was a member of Carnation Baptist Church in Okolona.
He leaves behind a son, Anthony Wayne Butler; two sisters, Peggy Joyce Williams and Connie Foster (Wayne); a grandson and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, James Connors; a sister, Judith Elaine Hicks; two brothers, Jimmy Lee Butler and Ronnie Dale Butler; and a nephew, James Jones.
