STEPHEN "STEVE" HUDSON, SR.
Tupelo - Stephen Gregory Hudson, Sr., 68, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born August 21, 1948, to James Truman and Norma June Key Hudson. An entrepreneur, Steve owned and operated multiple businesses during his life including, Crosstown Pawn Shop and a restoration business, Hudco. He was a very talented musician, could play almost any instrument. Steve loved his work and was really proud of his children and grandchildren, and bragged on them frequently.
Survivors include his children, Angel Sawyer (Kirk) of Wren; Maggie Freeborn (Morgan) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Steve Hudson, II (Selena) of Tupelo; father, Truman Hudson; five brothers and sisters and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with visitation from 1 p.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Grove Baptist Church, 30298 Central Grove Road, Aberdeen MS 39730.
